AMSA Stops Girls' Soccer, 7-1

Potter nets lone goal in Guardians setback

WORCESTER, Mass. (September 11, 2017) - The St. Peter-Marian girls soccer team suffered its first setback of the season, falling to the Eagles of AMSA, 7-1 this afternoon at Guardian Field.

Freshman Victoria Potter (Rutland, Mass.) scored the lone goal for the Guardians as the rookie striker connected early on for her team-leading sixth goal of the season. In net, freshman Gracie Harris (Northboro, Mass.) turned in a complete game effort for the Guardians.

In this afternoon's jv matchup, the Guardians posted a 3-1 victory. 

St. Peter-Marian (2-1, 1-0 CMC) will be back in action on Wednesday as it hosts North Brookfield at 3:30pm.
