Girls' Soccer Shoots Past St. Bernards, 5-2

Potter collects hat-trick in Guardians second victory of the year

FITCHBURG, Mass. (September 8, 2017) - The St. Peter-Marian girls' soccer team earned its second victory of the season, topping conference foe, St. Bernards, 5-2 in Central MA Conference action this afternoon.

Freshman Victoria Potter (Rutland, Mass.) continued her scoring prowess this afternoon as the rookie striker notched a hat-trick and one assist to lead St. Peter-Marian. Junior Katie O'Dea (Worcester, Mass.) was also strong with her first goal of the season, while senior Claire Fredrickson (Northboro, Mass.) also added a score. Senior captain Lauren Malenchini (Sutton, Mass.) paced the attack with a pair of assists. 

St. Peter-Marian (2-0, 1-0 CMC) will be back in action on Monday as it hosts AMSA at 3:30 pm.
