SPM Girls Lacrosse Powers Past Monty Tech, 14-4

Nine Guardians net goals in balance victory

WORCESTER, Mass. (April 12, 2019) - The St. Peter-Marian girls lacrosse team collected its third victory of the season, defeating Monty Tech, 14-4 at Guardian Field this afternoon.

The Guardians used a balanced attack to earn the victory with seniors Olivia Allain (Oxford, MA) and Kayla Currin (Hudson, MA) leading the way. The two combined for 11 points as Currin notched six (2 goals, 4 assists) and Allain added five (3 goals, 2 assists). Junior Maria Oliveri (Worcester, Mass.) also netted a pair of goals, while eighth grader Ashlynn Witt (Princeton, MA) rounded out the top scorers with two markers.

In net, freshman Megan Bushe (Paxton, MA) finished with four saves in the win

St. Peter-Marian (3-0) will be back in action on Tuesday as it hosts Doherty for a match at 2pm and 3:30pm.
